IP University student carries out research in Antarctica

Aman Malik, a second year student of University School of Chemical Technology (USCT) of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University has recently returned from Antarctica (South Pole) after completing a two-week intensive research of the area. He was part of a 53-member student researcher team from 12 countries across the globe to do research on the Polar region, especially about Antarctica from February 14 to 28. This year, Malik was the only Indian member of the research team. Other members were from countries like USA, UK, Sweden, Canada, Egypt and Kuwait.

The team carried out research of the area on subjects like problems faced by the region, wildlife, glacier, water, geology and oceans.
